This definatley depends on the editor, the project, and the expected due date. The longer you spend on a project the more effects can be added. Basic editing with nothing fancy is known to take 1-2 hours per finished minute of video.

What is better, a Mac or PC?
When editing on a MAC Final Cut Pro has pretty much ran away with the best editing software for a MAC. The only program that compares to Final Cut for a PC is Avid or Adobe Premiere. I have personally used both FCP and Adobe Premiere (its only real competitor, Avid, is way too expensive), and in my opinion, and the opinions of many other professionals in this field, FCP wins hands down.So here at JMC we use Final Cut for most projects. Sometimes we venture off into Adobe Premiere.

What is a green screen?
A green screen is used in varoius videos to replace the backround with any other image or video. The effect used here is called the Chroma Key
